This is our baby Calypso. She is very independant and until just recently, we did not know exactly how independant she really was. One day while we had her on our shoulder, she decided to take flight (Which she so frequently does!) and she landed not far from her cage. As we headed over to her to grab her we saw she had pulled herself up to the bottom bar. She looked as though she wanted to go up so when we bent down to help her, she squawked and nipped at us in a way that said “Let me do it on my own!!” so we left her there to try herself. About five minutes later (And a bunch of searching around by Calypso), she finally managed to pull herself up to the high part of the cage. We were so amazed by this. If only she knew just how brilliant what she did was. This is her first trick and seeing how fast she picked this up, we are thrilled to see how fast she picks up REALtricks. I uploaded to the video to show you all just how amazing birds can be, especially our little Calypso.
